Privacy

• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking scripts, no third-party fonts. The site itself sets no cookies.
• If you choose light or dark explicitly, your browser remembers that choice locally; it is never sent to the server.
• If you use the contact form, your message is stored on this site’s own server so Stefan can read and answer it, and deleted after twelve months.
• Project information is fetched from GitHub and npm by the server; your browser only contacts them if you follow a link.

Requests pass through Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and may set strictly necessary security cookies for that purpose. The web server keeps technical access logs (IP address, time, requested address, browser identification) for operation and security; they are rotated automatically.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Stored: your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message and the time it was sent. To limit abuse, the server also stores a one-way hash of your IP address that changes daily; the address itself is not stored.

Purpose: reading and answering your message. Nothing is forwarded to third parties or used for marketing. Messages are deleted twelve months after they arrive, or earlier on request.

Legal basis: steps towards or performance of a contract you ask about (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Send requests to stefan@preu.at.
